Student Profile
Sammy Beresford

Level 2 Diploma in Physical Activity, Fitness and Exercise Science

School: Brine Leas School, Nantwich

Next step: Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training

Ambition: Personal trainer for motocross riders

“Motocross is my passion. I’ve been competing for over eight years and I’m currently at World Championship level. This year I’ve been taking part in the European Championship league in the 125cc class, which has meant competing in France, Germany, Holland and Britain.

“The sport is extreme and exciting but very demanding physically, so I work on my own fitness daily. Learning how to use circuit training correctly at Reaseheath’s gym and understanding how to pass this knowledge onto clients has been very useful.

“Although I compete every weekend I don’t have any trouble combining my sport with studying, and my lecturers are really supportive.”
